It doesn't take long for someone in this house to receive a nickname, for better or for worse. That was one of the reasons I had a hard time approving of the name Lincoln. A nickname just didn't roll off my tongue for that one. But Jesse won me over and nicknames came shortly after. Funny how that happens. Eva is now referred to often as "Sissy Sue" or "Big Sis" (Evie, Evie Sue, Suser beans, Eves, Moo, and Mookie Moo all still stand as well). Lincoln is known as "Linx", "Linky", "Linky boy", "Link-a-bink" and "Squeakin' Lincoln" (so far, anyway). If a stranger asks (or doesn't ask) Eva will tell them, "His name is Lincoln Micaiah!", which she says with great authority.
They are quite an adorable pair, if I may add. Eva sure likes how Lincoln goes along with whatever she says and does. Except when she hurts him and he cries and she gets in trouble.
I have a feeling it's going to be tons of fun watching the two of them get to know each other. Lincoln, you're going to need to be a tough boy and a great listener. Don't worry, mom and dad will help you.
